The terms on which this website and this phone line are offered. Last updated 16 September 2026.
Who you are contracting with, and who you are not
Colorado Plumbing HQ operates a referral line. We connect callers with independent plumbing contractors. We do not perform plumbing work. When a contractor takes your job, your agreement for that work is with them, directly. We are not a party to it.
This matters for every clause below, so it is stated first.
What the referral is, and is not
A referral is an introduction: we identify a contractor who covers your address and handles your kind of problem, and we pass your details to them. It is not a booking we can guarantee, a price we can quote, or a warranty on anything that follows.
We make no representation that any particular contractor will be available, will arrive within a given time, will quote a given amount, or will complete the work to a given standard. Availability moves with the hour, the geography and the weather.
Contractors are independent
Every contractor we refer to is an independent business. They are not our employees, agents, partners or joint venturers, and they have no authority to make commitments on our behalf. They are solely responsible for the work they perform, their pricing, their scheduling, their personnel, their equipment, their compliance with the requirements that apply to them, and any warranty they offer.
We ask contractors to hold the credentials and cover their jurisdiction requires of them. We do not independently verify that, and nothing on this site should be read as our confirmation of any contractor's credentials. You are entitled to ask a contractor for their documentation before work begins, and we would encourage you to.
What we ask of you
- Give accurate information on the call. A wrong address or a mis-described problem sends the wrong trade to the wrong place.
- Agree price and scope with the contractor before work starts.
- Use the line for genuine service requests. Do not use it to harass, to make false reports, or to solicit.
- In an emergency, take the immediate safety steps first — shut off the water, leave the building if you smell gas — rather than waiting on the phone.
This website
The content here is general guidance about how plumbing systems tend to fail in Colorado conditions. It is written to help you describe a problem and understand your options. It is not a diagnosis of your particular system, and it is not instructions to work on gas, on sewer lines or on anything under pressure. If following something you read here would mean doing that work yourself, do not.
The site is provided as it is. We try to keep it accurate and available; we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. The text, layout, photographs and marks on this site belong to Colorado Plumbing HQ and may not be copied or republished without permission.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Colorado Plumbing HQ is not liable for any loss, damage, injury, cost or delay arising from work performed by an independent contractor, from any act or omission of a contractor, from the unavailability of a contractor, or from reliance on general guidance published on this site.
Claims about the work belong with the contractor who did it. This clause does not limit any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
If something goes wrong
Raise it with the contractor first — the work, and any warranty on it, is theirs. Then tell us, on the same number you called. We cannot adjudicate a dispute between you and an independent business, but we do control who we refer callers to in future, and that is the part we can act on.
Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
We may update these terms; the date at the top changes when we do, and continuing to use the site or the line after a change means accepting the current version.
